Michael “Knotty” McQueen is a USCG Master 100-Ton Captain and professional mariner with extensive experience operating commercial passenger vessels, private yachts, charter boats, and sportfishing vessels throughout South Florida, the Chesapeake Bay, and the Washington, D.C. waterfront. Capt. McQueen currently serves part-time as a Captain with Potomac Water Taxi, operating commercial passenger vessels on the Potomac River. Previously, he served as a Captain with Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi, gaining valuable experience in high-volume passenger operations, docking, maneuvering, navigation, and scheduled commercial service in South Florida. He also serves as a Lead Captain with Mahogany Yacht Charters, operating luxury yachts and passenger vessels on the Potomac River. As the owner/operator of Reel Attitude Fishing, he brings additional experience in fishing charters, yacht operations, vessel deliveries, navigation, docking, vessel handling, and on-water training. A Washington, D.C. native and second-generation captain, Capt. McQueen has experience operating single-screw, twin-screw, and Z-drive vessels, giving him a versatile skill set across a variety of vessel types and propulsion systems.
