My name is Jesse da Cruz. I’m available for weekend and as-needed captain in Austin, Texas area, including Lake Travis and Lake Austin. I hold an active USCG 100 GRT Master – Near Coastal credential and have extensive professional maritime experience, including many years working aboard and operating commercial vessels in Alaska and the Bering Sea. I am also currently working toward upgrading my credentials to 1600 GRT Mate. I’m interested in weekend, relief, or as-needed captain opportunities, including: • Private owner trips • Relief captain coverage • Yacht repositioning • Vessel deliveries • Day trips and charters • Party boat / recreational charter operations • Short-notice captain coverage I’m comfortable working in demanding marine environments and bring extensive experience in vessel operations, navigation, watchstanding, and safe vessel handling.
