Captain Taylor is a USCG-licensed 100-Ton Near Coastal Master with six years of professional experience operating a wide range of vessels, from 25-foot recreational boats to vessels approaching 100 feet. His experience includes both power and sail, vessel deliveries, owner training, and hands-on operation of monohulls and catamarans. Taylor has delivered vessels ranging from approximately 30-foot monohulls to 50-foot catamarans and is also the owner and operator of a 54-foot wooden motorsailer, giving him extensive firsthand experience with vessel systems, maintenance, seamanship, and day-to-day ownership. Before beginning his professional career as a licensed captain, Taylor served six years in the United States Coast Guard as a Helicopter Rescue Swimmer. His Coast Guard service also included time aboard 47-foot Motor Lifeboats conducting search-and-rescue operations out of Oregon Inlet, North Carolina—an area well known for demanding sea conditions and challenging vessel operations. Taylor brings that safety-focused background to every vessel he operates. Whether conducting a delivery, assisting a new owner, or providing hands-on vessel training, his priority is the safe operation of the vessel, the well-being of everyone aboard, and helping owners become more confident and capable on the water.
